As Spring begins to dawn across our continent with so many signs of new life let us turn our eyes towards the One who gives us “life in all its fullness“ and see Him bring life to those we seek to see come from darkness into light.

” I, the LORD, have called You in righteousness, and will hold Your hand; I will keep You and give You as a covenant to the people, as a light to the gentiles. To open blind eyes, to bring out prisoners from the prison, those who sit in darkness from the prison house.” (Isaiah 42:6-7)

Stop Press! We are now planning EFN’s next event – April 2015 in Bucharest. Thanks for praying for wisdom as we develop the programme and favour as we approach possible speakers and sponsors.

On prostitution and human trafficking, the police make a huge difference for good or ill through their action or inaction. Do they treat the exploited with compassion or as a problem? Do they actively pursue the exploiters? Pray for them: The local officers, their leaders and also the politicians who set the priorities.

Together Against Human Trafficking (Gemeinsam gegen Menschenhandel)

In May 2013 the German member of Parliament and former Salvation Army Officer Frank Heinrich founded, along with some Christian friends and organizations the networking association GGMH. Facing the increasing problem of human trafficking and especially forced prostitution we saw that the members needed to have a constant exchange of informations and a louder voice to speak and act against this crime. Our main objectives are to improve education, impact on democratic political systems and to see an improvement in criminal preventative measures.

In the first six months GGMH started some activities against human trafficking with a great public response. In early February we published a magazine on the subject.

The latest news from the GGMH network concerned our member Gaby Wentland and her ministry MISSION FREEDOM. She was honored to win the prize of the Association of German Newspapers. Frank Heinrich was asked to give a laudatory speech. Again the subject of forced prostitution had a large public response.

Therefore we also pray always for you that our God would count you worthy of this calling, and fulfill all the good pleasure of His goodness and the work of faith with power, that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ. (2 Thessalonians 1:11-12)

  •  Germany has become a hub for human trafficking. This must come to an end.
  • The laws about prostitution in Germany are the most liberal ones in the world. We need a political majority to change this.
  • Some Christian associations concerned with human trafficking are meeting with hostility. Their employees need courage to stand upright.
  • More and more Christians and churches open their hearts for our subject. Pray for sustainability.
  • Some of the network partners need new resources: staff and finances.

Take time to also pray for your own nation, try to gather together with others and share what is on your heart for your nation and your ministries/churches and hear what God is saying to you. Do let us know any answers to prayer so we can rejoice together. Maybe you could be our country in focus in future months. Contact with your praise reports and if you would like to be a future country in focus.
